Regulatory Information

State licensing and permit information is sourced directly from official state licensing boards and government websites. Each entry includes the source URL and last-verified date. We recommend verifying current requirements with the issuing authority before any work begins.

Location Data

Geographic data (cities, ZIP codes, coordinates) is sourced from publicly available US Census and verified third-party datasets. Location data is validated for duplicate entries, coordinate accuracy, and ZIP code format before publication.

Professional Vetting

Professionals in our network are required to provide proof of state licensure and liability insurance at enrollment. We do not independently verify every active license in real time — homeowners should always verify contractor credentials directly with the issuing state authority.

Content Review Cycle

All cost guides and regulatory pages are reviewed at minimum annually. Pages display a "Last reviewed" date. When state regulations change or significant market shifts occur, we update affected pages promptly.
